Before you buy a van to tour, look at renting a van as well. Renting may be a cheaper option in the long run

Make sure when you rent a bus or van for a tour that the company has adequate insurance and is registered as a commercial vehicle.

When touring if you go with an owner/operator bus make sure he gives you a back up plan your are comfortable if the bus breaks down.
